This is just a test. All will be made clear in the real blog.

World Healthcare Costs

GDP/Capita This is what the CIA defines as purchasing power parity GDP, i.e., actual purchasing power in dollars, not the legal exchange rate. GDP (M$) This is just population times GDP per capita. Since that's the purchasing power parity GDP, this won't be exactly equal to published results, set, e.g. China. Health Care

Annual
Health Care This is just GDP per capita times the Fraction of the GDP consumed by health care. Approximate, to be sure, but probably within 10-20% of actual cost.

(need a catchy blog title)

O give thanks to the LORD, call on his name, make known his deeds among the peoples.

~1 Chronicles 16:8

June 5, 1977, you were chartered as the United Parish of Bowie. Congratulations on celebrating 35 years of ministry!  On Sunday, June 10 we will celebrate this 35th anniversary. Rechartering Sunday, as you call it, will be an exciting day, so mark your calendars now. HereÕs a partial schedule of events:

9:00     Discussion on Adult Education Sunday School classes and Bible Studies: Is there a particular area you would like to study next year? If so, talk with Diane Eades or Bill Collins. Better yet, come share your hopes and desires for studies during 2012-2013.

9:45     A ÒThank YouÓ breakfast for the teachers and volunteers who have worked with children, youth, and families throughout this past year:  Your assistance in helping to prepare for this event will be greatly appreciated. Contact Julissa Orta to find out how you might help.

11:00   Worship with communion:  A time of remembering and celebrating 35 years as a church.

Come and See! A great time to invite former members to attend church. Also a great time to invite anyone you know to Come and See how the Spirit moves and shapes people for GodÕs work as faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

12:15   Supper Chat and Chew following worship:  Everyone is encouraged to bring finger foods to share while sharing the stories of your past, present, and hopes for the future.

In preparation for this special day may you begin to reflect on your faith journey while attending UPB. Also think about your faith journey in the various places you have lived or attended church.

á       For what are you thankful?

á       When have you called upon the LORD?

á       How have you made GodÕs deeds among the people known within your family? Among your neighbors? With your friends? Your co-workers? At school? The stranger in your midst? The church and beyond?

Give thanks to the LORD. Call on His name. Make known his deeds among the peoples. Three very specific commands are identified in 1 Chronicles 16:8. How are you living out these commands?

Faithfully in His service,

Pastor Jeri
